Brighter Days Ahead

Brighter Days Ahead by Greg Bennett / WORKtoDATE

The destruction of the wildfires is portrayed by physically making, photographing and then compositing various textures such as burnt paper, water stains, ash and grit. These elements are juxtaposed with beautiful illustrations of life occurring all around them. The beauty lies in the fact that life carries on. Even the scorched tree shows signs of new life through it’s sprouting buds. The text sprinkled throughout the poster are facts regarding the wildfires. It was designed to commemorate those affected by the Southern California Wildfires of 2007.

This limited edition poster was printed four-color process, offset on Mohawk Superfine Softwhite Recycled Smooth 80 lb cover. The design is finished with an emboss to highlight the bird. Each print is individually signed and numbered by the artist, Greg Bennett. This edition is limited to 100 prints, signed and numbered. The finished size is 24″ x 36″.

A special thanks to Shapco Printing for donating their printing and embossing expertise and Mohawk Fine Papers for donating some of the finest paper available.
